Here you will find the answers to many of your questions that you might have about us, our properties and your stay in Lyme Regis from enquiry to departure.

Bookings made on our website will automatically receive a 10% discount.
You can also email us directly with your enquiry details if preferred.
You can pay a deposit on all bookings that exceed 2 months of the check-in date.
The full booking amount is due 2 months before the arrival date of your stay.
The deposit amount is 25% off the full amount and is unique to your booking only.
Any cancellations can be made after booking.
We do not offer any refunds as stated on the booking form.
Instead of cancelling we can postpone and move your booking to a new date.
Yes you can postpone your stay any time up until one month before the arrival date.
There will be a £60 administration fee to pay, in order to complete this alteration.
The price may differ due to season and annual increase.
No, we have a 2 night stay minimum for all bookings.
The booking fee is payable to cover the administration and processing of each booking.
The booking fee accumulates to £5.20 per night and will be shown in the invoice.
All bookings include a compulsory price for cleaning, for each property.
The price ranges from property to property up to £75 per booking depending on property size.
Jurassic Properties is fully dog friendly offering guests to bring a maximum of 2 dogs per booking.
We do not accommodate cats or any other pets, except dogs.
There is a payable fee of £25 per dog for each booking – please ensure you include this in your booking to avoid further charges, post-stay.
Yes you can of course! If you require a travel cot, please ensure this is added to your booking, there is a hire cost of £10 per cot.
The cot includes the frame and a small mattress for the bottom – we do not provide linen for the travel cot and advise guests to provide their own.

Yes we do! All of our properties ar based within the town of Lyme Regis (walking distance from the seafront and high street).
If you have a large group, please let us know the dates and we can help secure properties for your wedding crowd, subject to availability.

Yes, we have a detailed Terms and Conditions that is included in your booking confirmation and can be seen on Our Website.
Yes, all of our properties provide full BT WiFi and usage is included in your stay.
The service is provided for your enjoyment but you are responsible for safe and appropriate use and complying with all laws.
If there is any loss of service please contact us.
Yes, all of our properties have Smart TV’s, enabling you to watch Free Sat and log into your Netflix, Prime and any other broadcasting apps during your stay.
Yes, all of our properties are equipped with fan ovens and induction hobs, for cooking.
We also provide utensils, cutlery, plates and cooking pans/trays.
Parking is available at our property, Cliff View Cottage and also Cobb House. The other 5 properties do not have onsite parking.
Depending on the property, there are a few spaces on the neighbouring roads.
There are also several public car parks located in and around Lyme Regis, offering longer parking stay prices.
Woodmead (highly recommended), located next to the police station – £1.50 per hour, £45 for 3 days, £80 for 7 days.
Cabanya – located next to The Lyme Regis Bowls Club – £1.90 per hour.
Monmouth Car Park – located opposite the bowling club – £1.90 per hour.
There is also a car park located behind the Tesco Express on Broad Street, another car park at the lower end of Broad Street, Holmbush and also Charmouth Road car park – all offering similar rates.
Four of our properties have outdoor spaces including Ammonite, The Hideaway, Cliff View Cottage and Cobb House.
The Hideaway property has a log burning hot tub, seating areas and a BBQ.
You can request more hot tub sessions on the booking form if needed (you will receive more that one session of wood for stays longer than 2 nights).
The Marine Parade property has an outdoor electric hot tub, including an outdoor shower, seating and BBQ area.
In warmer months, we ask guests to help with the watering of the plants – this will be requested by us if needed.
Yes, all of our properties are equipped with washing machines and washing tablets with drying racks for your wet laundry.
Yes, we provide 1 set of bed linen (per bed), a large bath towel and a small hand towel also per guest.
2 tea towels and an oven glove is also provided for the kitchen.
All towels provided must stay in the property. We do not provide beach towels, so please be sure to bring these with you if you plan to swim in the sea.
We advise guests to take as much recycling rubbish with them, as we are unable to police the recycling from all the properties.
The rubbish bags need to be placed inside the exterior bins for Baker’s Loft, The Hideaway and Coombe Cottage. They are scheduled to be collected every Friday morning.
The exterior bins for Ammonite are located inside the exterior parking garage of the property. The bins are collected every Monday morning – please ensure the bins are pulled out onto the edge of Hill Road, so the collection company can access.
If you are staying in The Bothy, you can leave the rubbish bags outside on the street of the property as there isn’t an exterior bin. Collections of these are made on Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s.
No, dogs are not allowed on the beds, sofas or chairs in the property. The dog hairs are extremely hard to remove and clean off linen and fabrics.
We have charcoal bbq’s at the properties that have outdoor spaces and gardens only.
Charcoal is provided.
Please leave the bbq how you find it, in terms of cleanliness to avoid extra cleaning charges.
You don’t need to professionally clean the property, no as the cleaning team will provide this service once you have checked out. The cleaning fee is included in the price of booking, depending on the property size of up to £75 per booking.
A tidy, washing up and placing towels in the bathroom would be ideal.
It isn’t compulsory to strip the bed sheets off the beds, but doing this would be a great help!
We know that accidents can happen including spillages, so if occurs please clean up to avoid further complications and stains.
Yes, all of our properties contain Guest Books which contain all information on central heating, water, ovens, health & fire safety, check-in/out, WiFi & television information and local important contacts (GP, dentist, vets & taxis) etc.
Yes, all of our properties are child friendly with no sharp edges on table-tops, sides etc.
We have kids plates and cutlery at all properties.
We provide boardgames as well for added entertainment.
All the televisions are Smart TV’s – so you can access your video apps (Netflix, Prime & Disney+) from all our properties, during your stay.
Lyme Regis has a lot to offer for children including fossil hunting, the Lyme Regis Museum, Aquarium & Dinosaur Museum, the local beaches and the Marine Parade Arcades.
Yes, we currently have one property with a 2-person log burning hot tub, at The Hideaway.
Our new property Cobb House also has an electric hot tub for 4 people.
Yes, we provide all of these in all of our properties.
Please be safe when using and remember to turn off when not in use.
All of our properties are dog friendly.
We allow a maximum of 2 dogs for a booking, per property.
We do not accommodate any other pet that isn’t a dog.
Dog food and water bowls are provided as well as dog biscuits.
We do not provide dog beds and assume guests to bring their own dog beds.
Although we are dog friendly, they are not allowed on the furniture including beds, sofas and chairs.
Yes all properties are fitted with central heating & hot water. Please use the heating as you would in your own home, energy is very expensive for us!
We don’t have air conditioning units in the properties but we do provide portable fans, to use at any time of the year.
Please restrain from bringing your own to the properties as all of our electrical appliances are PAT tested and safe to use.
Yes all of our properties contain first aid kits.
They are all located in visible places in case of emergency and minor injuries.
In case of a serious emergency please dial 999 for assistance.
There is also a local GP and dentist in Lyme Regis (details provided in Guest Book).
Yes, all of our properties are fire regulated containing fire doors, FD30 door fixings & locks.
All of our properties contain the necessary amount of firefighting equipment including extinguishers & fire blankets.
Each property contains a Fire Action Notice outlining what to do in case of a fire and where to assemble.
If a small fire ignites in the property, please use the firefighting equipment provided.
Dial 999 first, if serious and contact us immediately after the emergency services have provided you with further actions.
All of our properties are installed with interlinked heat, smoke & fire alarms.
We also provide CO2 alarms in each property.
All fire doors must remain shut at all times for your own personal safety.
Alarms must not be removed in any instance – if they beep continuously during your stay, please contact us directly.
All properties are provided with fire signage including fire exits & fire door signs – please do not remove.
Please do not bring any other cooking devices into our properties including air fryers, grills, portable electric hobs or deep fat fryers.
Please do not bring any other electrical equipment into our properties that could increase the risk of a fire, including extension leads or mains-powered reading lights.
If you choose to bring electrical equipment such as hair dryers, hair straighteners and shaving accessories, please ensure they are turned off after use and not near anything that could potentially burn, (hair straighteners on the carpet).
Our properties are assessed annually by Fire Regulators, and our alarms & firefighting equipment are tested on a weekly basis.
Please do not remove any firefighting equipment from the property. Tampering, misuse & theft of safety equipment is an illegal offence.
All fire safety information is provided in the Guest Books for all our properties.
Please do not smoke in the properties.
We advise guests to take all valuable belongings out with them whilst not in the property.
Jurassic Properties is not responsible or liable for any damages or loss of any personal items during your stay – please see our terms and conditions for more information.
Any items behind will be stored as lost property – if you have left anything we will post them to you on request.
All properties are safe and secure with locked doors and windows, so please ensure to do so on checkout and when you are not inside the property.
Please do not bring any fireworks or explosive items into our properties under any circumstance.
We do not allow fireworks in our gardens.
No candles or incense are allowed inside of our properties due to the risk of fire.
Smoking, the use of electronic cigarettes & vaping are also not allowed inside the properties.
Smoking is prohibited in all of our properties including cigarette, cigars, electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco and vaping.
You are allowed to smoke in the garden/outdoor spaces (if applicable).
Please dispose of all used cigarettes and avoid littering.
Please do not bring illegal substances into our properties or onto the premises.
Once you have made a booking at the property, you will receive an email containing the address of the property.
7 days before your arrival date you will receive your check-in details of the property including the key box code.
Please do not make the key box code public for security reasons.
We suggest to our guests to keep the keys inside the key box when exiting the property, to avoid the loss of keys during your stay.
We only provide one set of keys per property / no spares onsite.
If you have any issues with accessing the property, please contact us directly via email or telephone (contact information on website and emails).
On check-out, please return the keys to the key box and scramble the numbers.
7-days before your arrival of your stay you will receive an email containing all relevant information, including the check-in and check-out processes. Please follow all relevant information on that email.
Please tidy up the house, place towels in the bathrooms sand strip beds (if wanted).
We advise guests to leave all cutlery and crockery how it was found, this means washed up and placed in the cupboards provided.
Please ensure all windows and doors are closed/locked.
Please turn off all lights on exit.
The night before you check-out you will receive an email explaining about what to do with the rubbish bags, please follow that email to avoid smelly bins inside the property.
We advise guests to take all or as much recycling with them as possible.
Yes there is a house manual which contains all relevant information including the WiFi details; the television; oven & kitchen equipment; garden features (if applicable); electricity & water and fire safety etc.
You will also receive the house manual in your check-in email, which will be emailed to you 7-days before your arrival date.
On arrival, please make yourself knowledgeable with the house manual, most importantly to the Fire Safety Management section, so you are aware of all actions.
You will receive our emergency contact details in the email containing your check-in information.
Our number is also specified in the house manual and at the bottom of all email correspondence.
If there is a fire or serious emergency, please dial 999 before contacting us.
Yes, 6 of our properties are located within the town and have a short walking distance to the seafront including The Hideaway, Baker’s Loft, The Bothy, Coombe Cottage, Ammonite and Cobb House. The other property Cliff View Cottage, is located up the hill above Ware Cliffs – more of a 10 minute walk into the town.
Yes, Lyme Regis is dog friendly offering numerous activities where you can bring your dog including pubs, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops.
The beaches in Lyme are open for dogs to play on from October – April.

Yes there are a few taxi companies available in the town for pre-booking only.
Causley Cabs & Jurassic Taxis are commonly used in the area.
Lyme Regis is a classic British town filled with restaurants and pubs, all of these are listed on our website Food & Drink.
Each restaurant has their own menu, primarily catering the classic seaside menu but you will also find an array of cuisines including Thai, Spanish, Greek, Indian, Italian, Pan-Asian, Chinese, Turkish, Middle Eastern & American.
Yes, Lyme Regis and the surrounding areas are filled with walking paths for you and your dogs. You can walk on the seafront if you’re looking for a relatively easy stroll, along the Marine Parade on to the Cobb and across to Monmouth Beach. Or you could walk towards the old end of the town and up the side of the River Lim.
